Here is my update.
I am still 1cm.
I am having mild contractions as per the monitor, but I don't feel them at all.
Baby is almost 7lbs now - so it has grown almost 2 lbs in 2 weeks.
The are a little concerned about my blood pressure.
My next appt is next Thursday
Wow 7 lbs...way to go Mama And you are having contractions...mild or not a step in the right direction

ok well the baby looks good on the monitors, heartrate is very responsive. I'm now 1-2 cm dialated and 80% effaced and she says I had one contraction while they had me hooked up, though I'm still not recognizing them yet. Sorry for the TMI, but I definitely have had tinted discharge since the appt that is pinkish, reddish and I don't think it's spotting from the internal only b/c I've had 4 internals and never had any spotting. She gave me an appt for Monday and told me that in her opinion I won't need it  Yeah! Could it be that this is really starting? 
I had the same thing this morning, pinkish, reddish discharge. Like you said, I also had a couple of internals before and I never had this. Do you think we lost our mucus plug?

I went to the doctor's last night and she said I am a fingertip open.
I spoke to one of my girlfriends who said she was 1-2 cm dialated for 2 weeks when she had her first baby boy. But everyone is different and basically you can go in at any time, but she did give me the green light to still come into work next week.
We heard the heartbeat and it's normal.

My book talks about the two as being different. I don't think it's the mucous plug, i think it's the bloody show. Do you have "What to Expect When You're Expecting" i reread the section last night and it said most women will go into labor w/in 12-24 hours after that!

Congrats! I had the same thing. The contractions are still mild enough that I don't recognize them, but she says I had one while I was on the monitor and like the other poster said, mild or not, they're coming and we're on our way!

I had my baby on the 13th! I had a boy when everyone was convinced it was a girl!
labor and delivery was fast ..they gave me pitocin at 8.30 i delivered at 12.30! But the bad news is the epidural did not really work wth me so i was in ALOT of pain! but baby Luca is home at 8pounds 11 ounces, 22 inches long!
I had an episiotomy because he was too big!

Well I have an appt for tomorrow  , but when she gave it to me she told me I wouldn't need it, that I was going to have the baby b4 monday. UGGGGGHHHH. I've been waiting and hoping all weekend and nothing! Poor DH doesn't know what to do with me anymore.  At least I've got an appt for tomorrow, maybe they can tell me something. It seems so weird to me that nothing is happening by now.

Yep! Well, we were due on Tuesday, May 16th so this Tuesday will be one full week past my due date, though of course each day past my due date feels like an eternity so I feel like it's been longer. It's funny I was very anti-getting induced b/c all the women that I know that have ended up getting induced have described much longer, more arduous labors, but now I'm so ready to have this over with I've completely changed my tune.
