Maybe eating too early is messing with her sleep
Some of you know the issues I have been having with Mikayla's sleep. My MIL feeds her dinner at around 4pm and then she gets a bottle, she then gets one more bottle before bed at around 7pm. Do you think that maybe since she is eating dinner so early, that is what is keeping her up at night
Last night, I know she was up late but I fed her at 7pm and then I gave her 4 ounces at 9:30 and 4 ounces at 11pm and she sucked them both down.. I am desperate for advice, I NEED SLEEP

I'm going through the EXACT same issues, so I'm anxious for responses to this post as well. Although I have no advice..... .... at least know that you are not alone. I could desperately use some sleep too!!!!

Re: Maybe eating too early is messing with her sleep
I REALLY hope not. We were up from a little after midnight until 2:30 with DS crying in his crib..... .... So frustrating. Especially since he USED to sleep all night just fine!!!! I'll have to check out the board in the wee morning hours to see if you're posting....

I guess but can you help me with some advice as to how I can do that
her current schedule is
8am - bottle - 7 oz
10am - breakfast - cereal and fruit
10:30 - 7 oz bottle
1pm - Lunch, cereal, fruit and veggie
1:30 - 6oz bottle
4pm - Dinner - cereal, fruit , veggie
4:30 - 6oz bottle
7pm - 7 oz bottle
How would I move her dinner back 2 hours without her being very hungry?
Maybe I can push back lunch to after her bottle, like say 2:30 and then give her a bottle at 4:30 like normal and then dinner when we get home at 6...does that sound reasonable
thanks for any help

Thats what I would probably do, lunch at 2-2:30 and then dinner at 6. If she seems really hungry at 4 I'd just give her a tiny bit of cereal until she gets used to dinner at 6.
I hope something works so you can get some sleep!

Re: Maybe eating too early is messing with her sleep
Is it a bad idea to offer her a bit of water at around 4 is she seems hungry?

Re: Maybe eating too early is messing with her sleep
I would keep your current schedule but give her a snack around 3:30 or 4 pm to hold her over till dinner time. How old is she and what is she eating? Can you offer her a banana or some applesauce or some crackers and water?
