Medical Alert Bracelet
This is such a silly question but , I have a blood disorder called ITP. It means I have low platelets and can hemorage. So, my Dr suggested I wear a bracelet.
I am hesitant to just put ITP, just in case the EMTs aren't aware of what that stands for. So I want to put low platelets also.
Does anyone know anyone who has a medical alert bracelet. How should I word it?
Just ITP - low platelets? Or more like "I have ITP, low platelets"
As I am typing this, I realize how silly it sounds asking this, I just want opinions I guess.
I found a really pretty one too for $40! bracelet

Re: Medical Alert Bracelet
Can you spell out ITP instead of abbreviating it ?
Or you could write "low platelet condition may cause hemorrhage"

Re: Medical Alert Bracelet
I just bought one because I'm on blood thinners. The other day I was seconds away from getting into a car accident and I realized if I get into a car accident and get knocked out I'm in trouble because no one would know to check me.
I bought from StickyJ.com, they have a page that shows common abbreviations and what to write on your bracelet.
The bracelet you linked to is pretty - but I just wanted to let you know that I read some reviews that the bracelets that have the lobster clasp on the tag falls off often and it's easy to lose. I was also looking for the plate kind with a bracelet attachment but decided against that due to the comments. I ordered this bangle bracelet.
