Meet the Midwives
I went to the midwife meeting at stony brook hospital last night and I'm so glad I did! I'm breaking up with my doctor and going to them. They were so informative and the tour of stony brook labor and delivery rooms won me over. If any one is curious about them I encourage you to attend their meet the midwives. I've been so concerned about an IV while giving birth (yes, this is my biggest fear about having a baby come out of me haha) and if I stay hydrated I will not have one from them! They also stress skin to skin so once the baby is born they don't weigh him/her for about an hour because they want the baby to have that time with you.
Now the question is...how do I break up with my doctor?

Meet the Midwives
The skin to skin is actually the new norm and it's done by the hospital so whomever your doctor is you will do that at Stonybrook.
