Meeting a friend for Greek for lunch; what can a preggo eat?
She suggested it and it sounded fine, until I thought about the feta, etc....
any suggestions? If not, I'll be a pain and tell her we should do something else.

I can't think of anything that would be suspect, really. I had Greek last night and ate falafel, pita/tzatziki and a salad including feta...

I think you can eat anything. Even the feta. When I go I usually get a grilled chicken greek salad and I eat the pita and tzatziki too.

You're fine... I highly doubt there is a restaurant in our vicinity that uses unpasteurized dairy products! I know a lot of people avoid certain cheeses and other foods that are supposedly no-no's, which is fine... to each his own. But I refuse. I eat all the same foods as I did before... and enjoy them all!!

eat it allll...
I am sure the feta is made with pasturized milk... and if it makes you feel better ask them! I did that in the beginning of my pregnancy when I was still so nervous, Im sure the waitress thought I was insane, but she was happy to find out for me.

I ate Feta last night. LOVED IT. Try falafel or hummus - full of protein.

I have had greek 2x this week - I did skip the feta though bc my doc said so though I agree it's probably crazy. . .
I had a gyro sandwich and a salad one time then a chicken souvlaki the other. .
