So far so good -- she's having a much easier time pooping and farting. It used to make her cry so bad and now she still grunts and stuff but isn't straining.

I know this thread wasn't meant for me, but I'm glad it's working for you! Christopher had the same issues with straining and the Gentlease was a lifesaver for us!

Re: Melbernai - formula question
As far as I know it only comes in poweder, so I just make up a big amount of it twice a day -- once in the AM when she is still sleeping and again at night after her last bottle before I go to bed. Then I have it ready to go for the night as well as the day.

Nope, just powder for now. I guess they're testing it out since it's new. I'm sure once it gains more popularity they'll make it in RTF.

Re: Melbernai - formula question
I personally really like the fact that she's getting a milk-based formula, didn't have to switch to full soy, but it's somthing her system can tolerate a lot more. I think so far (we've been on it since monday) I'm REALLY liking this formula. I just wanted to add that in.
We went to the pediatritian again today for Em's thrush and the doc asked how it was going, and I said good and she said it's so new they don't have samples yet but as soon as they get them they are putting them aside for us -- yay!
But cost is only about $2 more then regular enfamil and if you go online and sign up they send you a coupon for $6 off of Gentleease. www.enfamil.com

Re: Melbernai - formula question
Does anyone know what is the difference between Gentlease and Nutrimigen, my son is on Prosobee (soy) he does not scream for twohours anymore. However he still strains and cries when he tries to poop.

I am pretty sure that Nurtramigen is Enfamil's hypoallergenic formula like Alimentum is Similac's. Hypoallergenic formulas are not milk based nor soy based. They are for babies with milk/soy sensitivities. So if its a sensitivity issue gentlease wouldn't work for you.
