menopur question
What's the highest dose you've been on. did 3 vs 2 vials make a difference? What's the max dose?

For four IVF cycles I was on two menopur, never had a BFP. The fifth one I was on 4 menopur and got a BFP, that ended in a miscarriage. I am currently in the midst of my 6th IVF and again did 4 menopur. Not sure if the higher dose of menopur made a difference last time, but I am hoping it did! :0

This will be my 3rd IVF. My 1st IVF we suppressed with BCP, only 2 made it to blast, and not expanding. 2nd no BCP and 3 made it to blast and 2 were expanding blast. Each cycle about 10 were retrieved. Last month would have been 3rd. We tried the European protocol, we had ins issues so I have no idea what the outcome would have been. But, there were less follicles. They are saying it's more quality due to my low amh 0.26. Just trying to research possible protocol changes for next month if a miracle doesn't happen on our own this month.

450 gonal + 4 menopur daily for over 10 days and I got 10 eggs but as you know, 4 were mature and only 1 fertilized. Max stims!! But don't go by me. It was a ***** of a cycle to begin with!

I was on high doses of menopur in my first 3 cycles (4-6 vials nightly) . My 4th, I requested that the menopur be significantly decreased because I found some research suggesting that high doses of LH stims negatively affect quality in women who are AMA and those with low AMH. My RE went along with my request. It yielded the highest # of eggs retrieved ever, best fert rate, and left us with frozen embryos (never happened before).

menopur question
My doctor will not go above 4 vials per day. But according to RX website the max recommend dose is 450 IUs per day for 20 days. This is a great site to learn more about the medications.

I'm on 6!!!! 3 vials in am and 3 vials in pm along with follistim lupron and dexa something pill.

I was on 2 for both IVFs and will be on 1 for my 3rd IVF. Uhhh can't believe we are on IVF #3 already. Hoping third times a charm for a lot of us. GL

I think IVF is so much guesswork with trying to figure out how an individual will respond. I think being that max stims caused my body to shut down, he is trying the opposite protocol to see if that will work. Basically max stims gave me a dominant follicle and caused me to make three big follies on my rt and Lt took very long to catch up. It just threw me out of wack and he believes caused my eggs to be poor quality and not mature for fertilization.
You still can respond great to max stims. I think with my endometriosis and high estrogen naturally, it just created the opposite reaction for me.

I worry about being on max stims but have to trust my dr knows what he is doing. Being on a low-med dose of stims didnt work for me with Trivax so hopefully this will work for me. I only have one ovary so dont have to worry about the other one catching up. I pray that this high stim works for me. Thats a lot of meds to put in ones body :(

 I hate all of these meds!!! Deep cleanse once we get our miracle babies!
