Menopur vs. Gonal-F
How are they different?
For my IUIs I always used gonal-f. Never used menopur before... they have me on 3amps (225 units) of menopur. I was just curious as to how they compare dosage wise (if they can even be compared)... TIA!
ETA: I just read this again and puzzled myself so I figured I'd add to it- I guess what I'm asking is - is one more potent than the other?

OK don't quote me but I thought Gonal-F is an FSH hormone and Menopur is an FSH and LH hormone. Which I guess is why some RE's combine the two (like my cycles). It probably depends on the patient and RE.
Try not to compare or second guess your RE (unless you feel they don't know what they are doing). You'll just drive yourself nuts.

LOL- thanks. I know that my RE knows what he's doing- it's more a question to satisfy my own curiousity I'm sticking w/ the protocol that my Dr. gave me- but just wondered what the diff is.

usually they switch when its an IVF versus an IUI. I actually used Repronex so Im not 100% sure, but thats what I have heard.
