Menu Thread 2/19

Trying to use up some pantry surplus and frozen meat. This menu has a decidedly Italian flare LOL

Sun - Beer can chicken, slow cooker scalloped potatoes, green beans

Mon - Meatball parm heros

Tues - Homemade pepperoni pizza and ceasar salad

Weds - Slow cooker italian chicken and veggies with pasta and garlic bread

Thurs - TJ's meat lasagne, balsamic salad

Fri - Leftovers or take out

Sat - Out for sister's bday

Oops....what I meant to post was

Wed night sounds delicious. Where can I find the recipe? I'm new to owning a slow cooker and can't wait to try new things!

Edited to completely change lol:

Mon.- Chicken tortilla soup with cheese quesadillas

Tues.- Marinated london broil, roasted brussel sprouts and baked rice & peas

Wed.- pasta with bolognese sauce and ricotta

Thurs.- chicken stuffed with feta & spinach with orzo

Fri- take out

Sunday: All Day Sauce, Bracciole, Garlic Bread, meatballs, sausage, Baked ziti, WINE

Monday: Roasted Beast, Braised Red Cabbage, Mashed Potatoes, Brown Gravy, Brussels sprouts

Tuesday: Turkey Taco Tuesday

Wednesday: Pizza,

Thursday: Herb roasted chicken breasts with pan gravy, brown rice, sauteed kale

Friday: Stuffed shells, marinara sauce, salad, bread

Saturday: Chicken & Dumplings, house salad

Edited because I had forgotten it was Ash Wednesday and Lent. *sigh* I'm a bad Catholic parent.

I picked up a McCormick Slow Cooker seaosning packet for Italian Chicken...it's the packet, plus chicken, crushed tomatoes, mushrooms and I am adding some eggplant and zucchini. I have never made it before, but it looks good!

Beauty & the Beast was just playing...maybe its a Disney movie?

I know I shouldn't have quoted b/c I make a lot of spelling mistakes myself.

Thursday: ST Chicken Rollatini with Spinach alla Parmigiana, Mixed Green Salad

Friday: Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwiches (recipe on my blog), Baked Fries, and Carrot Sticks

Dinner: Pasta in ST Bolognese Sauce, Burnt Broccoli

Sunday: Tandoori Chicken, Basmati Rice, and Peas

Monday: Chicken Sandwich Leftovers

Tuesday: Pasta Leftovers

Wednesday: Chicken Noodle Soup

Sat: POLISH night!!! 3 different kinds of Polish Sausage, 4 different kinds of pierogies...meat, sauerkraut & mushroom, potato & onion, and cheese (I just made a few of each and froze the rest for next time), Rye bread. Also had paczki for dessert (polish custom to have right before lent starts)

Sun: My dad's birthday. Starting with Cheese Bouregs (like the greek cheese pie) and Koufta (sort of like an Armenian rice ball but made with Bulgar wheat instead of rice) topped with homemade yogurt. Birthday cake for dessert.

Mon: Homemade Chicken pot pies

Tues: Spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, & garlic knots

Wed: Fish nuggets and Mac n Cheese for the kids. I'll probably make some filets with lemon and dill for us

Thurs: leftovers

Fri: Pizza

Sunday- Baked dijon salmon with steamed broccoli

Monday- Roast turkey with sauteed side of Brussels sprouts

Tuesday- Coconut shrimp curry with quinoa

Wednesday- Skinny taste Asian pork with quinoa

Thursday- Skinny Taste Jamaican chicken stew

Friday- Asian peanut noodle salad with tofu and cashew dressing

Saturday- Not sure yet, something easy I have job training all day

SAT - Marinated Grilled Flank Steak, Vegetable fried Rice

SUN - Ravioli w/ meat sauce, garlic toast, salad

MON - Sausage & Peppers, Stuffed baked potatoes

TUES - Chicken Cutlets in a lightly, creamy, lemony, artichoke mushroom sauce (thank you pinterest) rice, roasted broccoli

WED - Pasta w/ Broccoli, Garlic & Oil, Garlic Bread, Salad

THUR - Homemade Burgers, sweet potato Fries, Cucumber & tomato salad

FRI - Tortilla Encrusted Tilapia, Couscous, sauteed spinach

ETA - I forgot no meat on Ash Wednesday!

Friday: Italian meatball soup

Saturday: We ate at Buoy One in Riverhead...delish!

Sunday: Baked mac 'n cheese

Monday: Broiled NY strip steak with a spicy garlic and onion topping and a side of green beans

Tuesday: Jack Daniels pork ribs and hash browns

Wednesday: Spaghetti in marinara sauce

Thursday: Not sure yet...it's going to depend on a few things...but I'm going to do either potato soup or mini chili relleno casserole

Sat: kid's party

sun: out

Mon: arroz con chorizo, black beans, avocado salad, corn

tues: "Meaty" Gras- pork chops and knockwurst baked with sauerkraut, cranberries and apples, braised red cabbage, potato pancakes with bacon and shallots

Wed: eggplant parmiggiana, farfalle marinara, roasted asparagus

thurs: "Meaty" Gras part deux (we had so much left over!) but adding nurenberg brats to the mix, and making mashed potatoes

Fri: salmon and baby bok choi over rice
