Mercury-free flu shots
When do mercury-free flu shots typically arrive at pediatricians' offices? Ours has the regular flu shot already but they don't have the mercury-free one yet and couldn't tell me when they will get it... what have others' experiences been? Thank you!

Re: Mercury-free flu shots
Not a mom, but do know about it since my nephew had problems.
The Thimerisol free shots are SINGLE vial shots. The thimerisol is used as a preservative for the MULTI use bottles.
Ask your doctor to order YOU a mercury/thimerisol free SINGLE DOSE vial.
My SIl does this every year specifically for my nephew and is great.

Re: Mercury-free flu shots
Thanks! But our dr's office does carry the single-dose shots every year, they just get them in stock a bit later than the regular flu shots. They will get them this season, but they couldn't tell me when.
Does anyone have any experience with the mercury-free flu shots and if so when approximately when in the season did your dr get them in stock? Thanks again!
