Panchos used to be better when actual Mexicans (The Chappas) owned it. Now an Italian family owns it (The Abatellos).
I still eat there. Service is great, people are nice etc. but I agree the food is not the best anymore.
ETA: Isn’t there a place maybe in Deer Park called Don Ricardos or something??? I hear that place is supposed to be great.

There's also a Pancho's Cantina in Island Park.
Their food is amazing and really inexpensive!!!

It's in Babylon Village right on Main St. and it's AMAZING! They have the most amazing white sangria! YUUUUM!

There's also Baja Grill in E. Northport and Smithtown, but that is more tex-mex than authentic mexican!
