Michael Jackson's Kids Pay Tribute to "Daddy" at Grammys
Prince Michael and Paris Jackson paid tribute to their late father Michael Jackson at the Grammys Sunday in Los Angeles, accepting the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award on the King of Pop's behalf.
"We are proud to be here to accept this award on behalf of our father, Michael Jackson," said Prince Michael, 12, who stood on stage along with some of his cousins.

The boy then thanked "God for watching over us these past seven months and our grandma and grandpa for their love and support. We'd also like to thank the fans. Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him. Our father was always concerned about the planet and humanity. He has helped through many charities and donated to all of them. Through all his songs, his message was simple: Love. We will continue to spread his message and help the world. Thank you."

Before leaving the stage, Paris, 11, told the emotional audience (including Beyonce and Rihanna), "Daddy was supposed to be here. Daddy was going to perform this year, but he couldn't perform last year. Thank you. We love you, Daddy."

Earlier in the evening, Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, Usher, Jennifer Hudson and Smokey Robinson, Jackson's godfather, performed a 3-D musical tribute to the singer, who died last June at age 50 of acute propofol intoxication.

The son gave a beautiful speech. And Paris looks just like her mother.

I agree. I cried like a baby at them, lol.
Is it me or does the son look way older from the last time we saw him??

I personally don't think Tito's sons should have been up on stage with MJ's kids. I'm surprised Jermaine didn't have Jermajesty up there too!
Jackson's are desperate to ride the MJ wave as long as they can milk it.
I really felt for MJ's kids and I was misty eyed when they were up there speaking.

I think the way he spoke is due to the fact that he is only 12 and was clearly very nervous.

Agreed! I said to DH, listen to this poor kid! He spent most of his life wearing a mask over his face in public and now he's giving a speech at the Grammys. I feel for them.

He was obviously nervous, but there was still something strange about the way he spoke. Just my opinion.

I was thinking the cousins were there for support. I would be scared up there and would love if my cousins came.
I dont think they should have even had to speak unless they really wanted to. so sad

I can see that I guess. I just can't forget that Tito accused MJ of molesting his sons when MJ was helping with their group the 3 T's.

Honestly if his family really wanted to pay tribute to Michael's legacy... they would not be pushing his kids into the spotlight like they are doing. That is the last thing he would ever want!!

I so agree with this!!!! And although that little girl is BEAUTIFUL...it looks like she was forced to grow up since MJs death. She looked like a child at his memorial..now her hair, her heels, her overall look...just too grown for my liking. I feel very sorry for them but I think his father was all over this as well. Sickening! I also hated how Lionel Ritchie was probably told to advertise the dvd.

I also agree and was thinking the same thing. MJ seemed to go out of his way to shelter these kids from the spotlight, and now his family seems to be capitalizing off of them.

MJ is rolling in his grave!
He wanted those children sheltered from the media.
His family is thrusting them into it...still riding the MJ money train.
So sad, really.

I wonder if people think the kids are still MJ's biological children.

What does it matter?
You don't have to be someone's sperm donor to be a father.
