Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party?

We did MVMCP last year which was AMAZING. THE BEST THING EVER! I loved everything about xmas at Disney.

We are planning to do MNSSHP this year. IS it worth it? Should we dress up? Do we need more than one night at the party? Are there other Halloween goingws on?

It's a lot of fun and I would recommend it. If you are inclined, wear a costume. One night is plenty.

Its a hard ticket (seperate admission ticket) event at the Magic Kingdom. On select evenings, they host a halloween party where everyone is invited to wear costumes. The rides are open late. They have trick or treating all over the place. I think there are story tellers plus a special fireworks show & parade.

We've been many years but never more than once a season. We've dressed up (DH has been Pinocchio nad Peter Pan).

The parade is one of my favorite (as is the MVMCP parade).

ETA: It has gotten more crowded over the years (they used to really limit tickets sold) so depending on how $$$$$ it is now, I don't know that we'd go again but it's worth it to have done once if you have not.

I know MVMCP was kind of mobbed.

I am excited!

Do they let adults participate in trick or treating, etc?

We don't hwve kids. We ARE the kids.

The first couple of times they let adults trick or treat without batting an eye. Then once it started getting crowded and they sold more tickets, they only handed out bags to kids ... I think.

And didn't they stop the complimentary photos? I know something has changed over the years that made us go Chat Icon

At the Christmas Party they gave a discount on photopass pictures taken that night, but that was about it!

Yes, I would recommend the Halloween Party - especially if you had a good time at the Xmas party. From what I've heard (and this includes stories from people who work there, as well...) the WDW Xmas party is the LEAST exciting of the 3 parties!! Chat Icon

The Pirate/Princess party is a lot of fun, too... don't know if you've done that or not?

If you're a kid at heart, feel free to dress up. Most everyone does! You get to go trick-or-treating thru the park...and you know how the rides are quieter because of the separate admission.

We went this past Halloween -- bummer, though, it RAINED and RAINED all night. Hopefully this year will bring you better weather!!! Chat Icon

Yes, you can participate in everything! When we went, we were without kids, too!

We didn't even go on rides at MVMCP. There was so much else to see.
