Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween party...

Trying to plot out my week in Disney here...

For those who went to the MNSSHP, were your kiddies able to stay up for it ?

My *plan* is to hang at the resort during the day, hoping its good weather and can poop him out in the pool ( my DD I'm not too worried about, since she'll probably ( hopefully) sleep at the park and then get a good late nap in there so he'll be able to stay up till midnight....He'll be 4...

Any experiences, before I book the Halloween party ?

We have gone the last two years when my kids were 2 and then 3. They did not make it until the end but they did make it to at least 10. It is definitly better to do nothing during the day so as to not wear them out. We are planning on taking them again this year when they will be 4.

When DS was younger, he could make to about 10 or 11, then he would fall asleep in the stroller. It's def. a lot of fun and totally worth it!

Here hereChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon We went on our trip last year at the end of Sept. It was GREAT!!!! DD was 15 months - we did not stay with her the whole time my parents came with us and they took her back to the room when she crashed around 10 or 1030 after the fireworks. DH and I stayed a bit afterwards.

DD went as tinkerbell and loved the parade. We didn't trick or treat w/ her, but she loved the dance parties with the characters. There were two that we went to - one in Cosmic Rays and one outside by dumbo - where they had a dj and then a bunch of characters that come onto the dancefloor with the children and dance around with them which the kids all loved. There were NO waits for ANY of the rides and everything was a walk on for us which was a bonus.

We didn't do anything during the day - then we went to EPCOT for an early dinner and then headed over to the MK for the party.

The party starts around 6 or 7 but you can get in around 4 I believe with your party tickets. Many people (esp the kids) including adults wore costumes. They give you a bracelet and a bag for candy. I highly recommend it!

Make sure you bring some fun costumes for the kids- I saw a lot of families dressing in the same theme - but I would say the night we went most of the kids were dressed as something - even if it was only a very simple costume as in just a hat and special shirt. They will have a lot of fun!

Re: Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween party...

We're going this year and I am so excited! I haven't been to the Halloween party before but we did do the Pirate & Princess Party last year and it was a great time, especially because you hardly have to wait for any rides. My kids have no problem staying up late so it wasn't really an issue for us...we tried to have a nap sometime in the middle of the day because Disney is tiring.

Have fun!
