Microwaves and Wireless internet
Does anyone else's wireless connection go down when the microwave is on?
I thought this was normal, but I mentioned it to someone, and she said "that's scary"...
Please let me know. If there are dangerous rays flying out of the microwave i need to know

Re: Microwaves and Wireless internet
Wait, so it is dangerous and horrible, or is it ok?
I'm worried now. Should I call Apple and ask them (my wireless router is apple)

Yep. I have the airpost extreme, and it's not far from the computer at all...but whenever the micro goes on my connection goes down completely

No, i tried that, it didn't work. I have a switch that goes to multiple desktops... but I don't see how that would affect wireless performance

Re: Microwaves and Wireless internet
did you try to reset?
unplug everything - internet-in (cable wire, for me), airport....leave out for 30 seconds, and re-try?

Re: Microwaves and Wireless internet
It's ONLY when the microwave is on, once it shuts off, connection is fine

Re: Microwaves and Wireless internet
And this change is not on the PC itself... it has to be done on the airport... you know the same place where you set up wireless security and such.

it would be the config on the computer, not a button on the thing itself, right?

Re: Microwaves and Wireless internet
It should be located on the configuration of the airport. You have to probably use the web browser... put in the IP address of the airport... and set it there.

Re: Microwaves and Wireless internet
Shorty, do you happen to know the AppleCare line? I'm on the regular tech support line and it's taking forever.
I **** at reconfiguring the airport 9have had problems with config before) so I figure I might as well get them to walk me through it, and also ask about the battery
