mid cycle bleeding?
Ladies... if you've had mid cycle bleeding, why did it happen?
the past 2 months i've had mid cycle bleeding. Usually lasts 6 days. not heavy, but pantiliner worthy and have had to change a couple of times a day. It for the most part is brown, sometimes pink.
AND it's always before Ovulation.
i've been seeing a doctor about it and he's taken blood, etc to check my hormone levels. He did a sono and there are no cysts or polyps, but he may want to send me for a water sono just to make sure.
Just curious if you've had this... what was the result and why did this happen? TIA!

Re: mid cycle bleeding?
I had mid cycle bleeding and it was polyps. I had to have a water sono for them to see them.
Had them removed and the mid cycle bleeding stopped so clearly it was the issue.

Re: mid cycle bleeding?
I had the same issue. Turned out to be a fibroid and a slightly inflamed endometrium. They found the problem through a sono and then an endometrial biopsy.

Re: mid cycle bleeding?
they never gave me a reason. they did a sono for fibroids, but didn't see any.
they changed my pill a few times before they found one that stopped the bleeding. orthotricyclin lo worked.

Re: mid cycle bleeding?
I had this and also had sonos but they showed nothing. I've never even heard of a water sono, but my gyn was convinced it was polyps lying flat against the endometrium and recommended a d&c for the longest time. I kept putting it off, and the bleeding would get worse and for longer amounts of time until I couldn't take it anymore and had the d & c and she was right, lots of polyps.

Re: mid cycle bleeding?
The only time I had mid-cycle bleeding was when I was on low-dose birth control, but it doesn't sound like that's the case for you.
