Milk Question - QUANTITY related

so i'm trying to give Em milk ONLY (so long as it's in a bottle - she'll drink it for HOURS)....

am I supposed to give her the same amount of milk to equal the amount of formula she was taking when we stopped it??? She was drinking roughly 32-40 ounces of formula every day....am i supposed to try and get her to drink THAT much milk - or mix it up with water (don't want to do juice until we HAVE to - right now she likes her milk & water).

Re: Milk Question - QUANTITY related

DS gets a sippy cup of milk at each meal. Otherwise, he gets water. Our pediatrician wanted DS to drink at least 14-16 oz of milk per day. He probably drinks 18-24 oz.

Re: Milk Question - QUANTITY related

Our ped said no more than 20-24oz of milk in a day. We usually stayed around the 18oz mark because Kaydyn would get a horrible rash if she had too much dairy. The kid loves her milk and will drink it all day long if we let her.

Re: Milk Question - QUANTITY related

My DD switched over at age 1 and we gave her the same amount of milk as we did formula which was 4 bottles a day that were 6oz. each. When we got rid of the bottles and went to sippy cups only her milk consumption went waaaaay down. She just drinks milk at meal time the way you or I drink throughout a meal. She doesn't guzzle milk from a sippy the way she use to from a bottle.
