mineola area restaurant for christening of about 50 people
my bf is looking for a place to hold her son's christening....any recos in this area...italian, portugese would be preferred but all suggestions welcome!! TIA!

i would recommend davnenport press. my sister had her rehearsal dinner there for around 30 and we only used half the room.

We had DD's in Piccolo Bussola in 2008. This was the package we got.
Package: $38.00 adult $16.00 kids
Hot or cold antipasto
Pasta
Entrée (chicken, veal, fish)
Potato & Vegetable
Choice of cake or assorted desserts
Coffee, tea, espresso cappuccino, sambuka for the table
House wine & soda (if we pick non house they take $10.00 off the $ of the bottle)
Bar extra
We had 70 people. The private room was already booked so they gave us the main diningin room. Everything was great. Also, with having wine on the table the bar bill was only $35.00. Most people just went for the wine since it was already there.

the St. James is more of a pub, but has a very varied menu. They have a part in the back that they can close off for a private party.
