mineral oil for constipated baby

has anyone given their baby mineral oil for terrible constipation? the way i feed him, this keed outght ot have diarhea, but nope, still ocnstipated. since we started solids, its been bad. i tried benefiber, and it actually made it worse, i think. ped now says try mineral oil.
did it work for anyone?

I dont know how old your DC is but I read that you should be very careful with mineral oil b/c it can be dangerous if a baby doesn't swallow well enough and some gets into the windpipe. I read this on a constipation website.

I would personally try pear juice with water before using that. In fact, my DD often had and still has constipation and this has never been suggested to me.
