Minivan Moms - Differences between Odyssey and Sienna?

Its time for an upgrade to my old minivan, and I'm hooked -- so its going to be a minivan again. Currently have a Sienna and am happy, got it because we lived in Massachusetts when we bought it so I had to have the AWD. Now we are on Long Island, so AWD is no longer a requirement. Are the Odyssey and Sienna so similar that I should just take whatever is the better deal or are there functional differences I should know about?

We just bought a new Odyssey. I liked it better than the Sienna for a few reasons. I like the way it looks better, the way it drives and the interior (dash display) was nicer to me. Also, the Odyssey is wider and fits 3 car seats across the middle row if you need that.

Test drive both of them and see what you like better. The Sienna drove bigger to me. I think the only functional difference is the car seat placement in middle row. I think the Odyssey also has LATCH in the middle seat of the third row which the Sienna does not.

I have the Zodyssey and love it. I also have friens with the Sienna and they are very happy. You cannot go wrong with either one!

Depends which model you are getting. We were between both as well and ended up with the Sienna. Toyota offered us the comparable model, the new version (2012, while Honda was offering what they had on hand still, 2011) and it was $1500 cheaper. Honda would not budge on price. While in my heart I really wanted the Honda, we couldn't pass up the deal on the Toyota. I think I like the Toyota better now after owning it.

I think the major differences for us were Honda could take three car seats across in the middle row, the middle seat in the middle row could move front and back separate from the row, and there was a cool box in the front dash, other than that I don't think much difference.

We just test drove both and we defiantely preferred the odyssey over the Sienna

The Oddysey had a smoother quieter ride imo. Also the 3 car seats across and the cooler box looks awesome.

also on the Sienna the middle seat in the middle row really isn't a seat for an adult maybe good for a small child.

We just got the Odyssey b/c of the amazing ratings. It was rated #1 on Consumers I believe. DS also loves Hondas and we tend to stick to that company. So far so good! We have the 2013
