miscarriage? TMI Has anyone had this happen
Sorry this is so long! I found out I was pregnant on the 11th. I had some pregnancy symptoms for a few days and they went away. A week and a half later I started spotting. It began light and brown. Since I've had a previous miscarriage, before my DS was born, I made a dr. appointment last Thursday. I had an internal sono. which saw nothing. I knew my dates weren't off, I was 5.5 weeks at that point. The nurse drew blood last Thursday. On Thursday night the bleeding got worse and turned red and it has been consistent and red since. I haven't had any cramping but assumed it was another miscarriage. I went in again for follow up blood levels yesterday. I just got a call back from the nurse and my numbers went up significantly. I'm going back for another internal sonogram tomorrow. The nurse still thinks its a miscarriage. I just wish I had answers. Has anyone ever had their numbers increase but still miscarried?

My situation is different, but I've had pregnancies where I SWORE I would get bad news from massive amounts of bleeding and clots... just to find out that babies were totally fine. You just NEVER know! Good luck!

My first miscarriage happened way after we heard the heart beat. It was so hard because we were already "attached". I know no miscarriage is easy but I just want to know already. In some ways I wanted to hear the numbers dropped so I could just "move on".

I didn't have bleeding but my numbers also went up significantly after my doctor confirmed I was not going to have a viable pregnancy. She never really found out the reason why but her guess was that a piece of tissue was hanging on and the body continued to think it was pregnant. Although my numbers increased by a lot it still wasn't anywhere near where it should be for a normal pregnancy. I hope and pray that your situation is different

They didn't say what the numbers should be at this point. I guess they are waiting to see what happens at the sono. tomorrow.

Oh I hear ya My first loss was at 17 1/2 weeks after we found out the gender. It was horrifying... It's never easy, but hopefully you will have some certainty soon, one way or another.

Sono yesterday showed the sac was filled with blood. Had a procedure in the office to remove the sac. Starting to feel better today. Glad to have answers. Hoping we can move on and have another healthy baby.
