To turn this on its head...I wonder if you did man on the street interviews in the poorest neighborhood in Chicago you would hear really ignorant things about Mccain and Palin too. It is really sad and disturbing.

normally, i'd totally point the finger at mccain, and say he 'started the ball rolling' on this one, so to speak

but in this particular case (the youtube video) - these people were born and BRED to have this hate and ignorance - really scary that there are many people who still BELIEVE these things Chat Icon

I can't TAKE the prejudice and ignorance this election has brought out. I TRULY think differently about family members and acquaintances. It's really sickening.

I'm sorry but I am confused why you would have togo to the poorest neighborhoods, ignorance happens in affluent neighborhoods too, you know!

Re: Misconceptions of Obama Fuel Republican Campaign

I saw a video where McCain was talking to a woman who was scared of Obama because he is an Arab. McCain shook his head and said, no, he's a good family man.

He was trying to refute the woman's fears and what she said but ended up sticking his foot in his mouth.

Re: Misconceptions of Obama Fuel Republican Campaign

This is precisely what scares me about the people voting in this election.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: If you want to vote for McCain, that's great! But make it for the RIGHT, INFORMED reasons...

This video really says it all. There are people in this country who really still think this way.

Oh, and I LOVE how Obama is suddenly "anti-white"...um, isn't he HALF WHITE??!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

from what I saw on the video, it seemed like they were at a farm somewhere in a poorer part of the country. Not saying it does not happen in affluent parts of the country too...just wanting to compare apples with apples, KWIM?

Oh for sure you would. Ignorance is at the heart of statements like these, people just pick different targets for their anger.
