Mismatched bathroom fixtures
Does anyone have this? We need a new vanity, but we don't have the money right now to change out the toilet and bathtub.
I can't find any pics online of this and want to know if it'll look terrible!
(vanity will be white, other fixtures are gray)
I don't want to reglaze as my kids bathe in that tub and I've heard it chips.

Re: Mismatched bathroom fixtures
Unless you're planning on putting your bathroom on the cover of Good Housekeeping magazine, who cares if it matches? As long as everything works, you can fix it up when you have more time and money.
Toilets are under $100 for a basic model, but if that's not in your budget, I wouldn't worry about it now. I've reglazed my tub, and the only reason that it chipped, is that my 50+lb dog was afraid of thunder, fireworks, loud rain, etc, and he would literally jump in the tub and try to dig his way down! Even with 10x the abuse that normal wear and tear could ever do, most of the bottom of the tub is still glazed, and the sides look fine, even 15 years later.

Re: Mismatched bathroom fixtures
I had the same situation in my bathroom when I was remodeling it. DH did not want to replace the gray tub because it was a good heavy duty cast iron tub in excellent condition. We left the gray tub and toilet and we have double white sinks in our vanity. It looks fine.

Vanity can be different. We had oak vanity with grey tub and toilet and just redid to white tub and toilet and dark wood vanity.

i am in the same exact situation...and we are just leaving it. we have updated some fixtures but cant handle all of the expense right now so we will finish it up in a year. no one will question it...and when i have been showing people our house, i just tell them this is our next project we will tackle in the upcoming years

We changed out the toilet and vanity but our tub is still blure but with th curtain, you can't really notice. I think it was about a $400 project forthe vanity and toilet.
