What good news! I hope you get him soon. Maybe put something he likes or that smells like you around the trap, along with his food inside of it. Use wet food not dry, in case you aren't. It smells more.
I sometimes have to trap raccoons on my place and relocate them, and have found my own barn cat sitting disconsolately in the trap after he ventured into same trap you have to get the wet cat food.

Oh my gosh! I'm so happy you've seen him! I honestly think about him everyday and I've posted his flyer on my fb a few times because I have a bunch of childhood friends that live right in your area.
He knows where home is! He's probably scared or maybe enjoying freedom, but he's safe!

wft, he is fresh but cute!! if he only knew all the stray cats that stare through your living room window wishing they had his life .
You must feel so frustrated but happy has come home.
