Missed period when starting the pill?

Does anyone have any experience with this? I am trying to decide if I should be nervous or not.

Essentially, I got my period on a Sunday and started the pill that day. I just completed the last week of the first month and haven't gotten my period yet. Had I gotten my period during the white pill week, it would have been only a 21 day cycle so I was staying calm, but now that I hit 28 and 29 days, my anxiety is rising (last cycle was 28 days exactly. In general, I have a "regular" period but in the 28-35 day range).

I suspect that it is just my body adjusting to the new cycle and I have googled that this is common, but would love more opinions or stories. it's been a long time since I have had to worry about such things so my mind is in overdrive. Thanks!

Yup, it can happen. It takes time for your body to adjust to the new cycle. If you area usually in the 28-35 day cycle range, then this cycle will likely be in that range as well. I would just keep taking like normal, you might miss a period or have a lighter period. If you are worried, take a test, but it sounds like what I went through too.

It could take up to 3 months for your body to adjust. Normally, you will get your period on the around the 3rd or 4th day of inactive pills. If you are worried, I'd test just to be sure, especially because you don't want to be taking pills if you are pregnant. But in general, if you took the pill at the same time every day this month, you should be fine.
