starting BC pill after pregnancy question
I went for my 6 wk post partum visit, and I am going back on the pill. My dr said I can start the pills this sunday, however I havent gotten my period yet. He said that's fine and to just start the pack.
I've never heard of this. In all the years I was on the pill, I always thought you started it once you had your period, and begin that sunday.
Anyone have any insight?

Same happened with me after I had DD. I always did it Sunday after my period. Apparantely there are 2 ways to start it.

i started it the same way. They want you to do it that way because if you dont go on BC odds are you'll be preggo again soon.

And I should expect my period as usual then at the end of the pack, or will it have to regulate again?

My came maybe 2-3 days after the end of the pack. Usually it was like clockwork at the end but you may take some time adjusting!!
Beware * I went off the pill to try to concieve #2 and got PG in ONE MONTH!

That is weird I never heard of that and my OB told me if it took too long for me to get my period PP...to call him and he'd give me provera to start the period so I could start the pill! 
Maybe it depends what pill you are taking? Maybe some you can start without a period?

My OB told me to start it right away...i had my check up at 4 weeks PP. If I had waited until I got my period it would have been 18weeks pp and probably pregnant!! Start it now!!!

My OB told me to start right away too, but I waited for my period. When we needed to, we used condoms - I wasn't taking any chances!
