Mixed emotions about moving...

Of course I am so happy to move into our new house but I am sad to leave our little apartment as well even though I wrote countless posts about issues that we had ...I think I also hate change. Going through so many emotions right now about this.

Re: Mixed emotions about moving...

it definately is hard to move bc of the unknown! At the same time, once you get settled in & you feel like it is "your" home, you will feel so much better!!!! If you ever need to get away, I am only a few minutes down the road Chat Icon

Kathleen, it's only natural...think about how you felt moving out of mom's...now this is the next step...in no time THIS will be your home & where your heart is.

Change is always hard & the stress of moving doesn't help either. Also knowing your apt is now how you want it & your home isn't at this point...

It'll be fine....Chat Icon

I lived in my apt for 8 years and it was hard to move out BUT when I moved into our OWN home....it was so worth it!!

Re: Mixed emotions about moving...

I felt the same way back in June when we moved from our small one bedroom apt. It was our first place after we got married and where we spent our wedding night, so we had tons of memories there. I still miss it at times, just because having an apt is ALOT less work than a house. But it is all worth it in the end.

Change is always hard, and always stressful, but just think, this new home with your home away from home and I'm sure you'll get yourself settled in no time!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Kathleen, your emotions are perfectly normal! You will settle in quickly, don't worry, it's going to be YOUR home and with that will come even more warmth and comfort that your present apartment gives you. Chat Icon
