MMR vaccine....
My next appt at the ped my son is scheduled to get the MMR shot and I am really nervous. I am not sure what to do. I am thinking of splitting the shot into 3 doses. Has anyone else done this? Thanks for your help!

Camp probably not. Mommy and Me doesn't typically ask for immunization records do they?

Re: MMR vaccine....
What is on the schedule now? I have it scheduled for 12 months and 18 months.
If one decided to break it up, how many would they get? 3 shots?
Also, if one delays the shot, then is it still 2 doses after they are 2 years old?

Re: MMR vaccine....
My dr. gives it at 18 months. I asked him out splitting it, he said he didn't recomend it, but that we can if we want to.

so is he getting one shot at 18 months? I'm trying to figure out if my doctor already split it up or if it is always 2 doses, but people split it up further.

Re: MMR vaccine....
I'm splitting my son's -- he'll get the measels shot, but I'm waiting on mumps and rubella -- they're not a threat to him and there's just too much controversy surrounding this shot.

Re: MMR vaccine....
Not every doctor will split the MMR. Ask your pedi if thats what you decide to do.

my daughter got hers today, i dont think they split this one They absolutely can split this one. I am splitting it. I base this not on the autism thing that everyone talks about, but rather on the fact that I have horrible reactions to vaccinations & I do not want to overload DS with the viruses. It is easier IMO to manage side effects if it is only one inoculation causing fever, rash, etc...
