Moby wrap versus Ergo
I'm interested in getting a sling but am not sure which is better...the moby or the ergo?
Does anyone have experience with one or both of these? Which is better? Also, are they one size fits all? I'm somewhat short, but I carry my weight in my upper half and I have a large chest, so I don't know if that factors into which would be better.
Thanks!

Re: Moby wrap versus Ergo
I've only used the Moby wrap, and I like it a lot. That being said, it is VERY long and kind of hard to wrap. You really have to practice a lot to get the hang of it. The first few times I used it I tied it too loose and after I had been wearing Juliana for 15 minutes she was down around my knees It's one of those things that you just have to figure out what the best wrap for your baby is. I love it because it is SOOO comfy to wear and it doesn't hurt my back at all. I have a lot of hip problems, and this is very easy to wear.

Re: Moby wrap versus Ergo
neither 'cus i vote for the mei tai or mei tai hip carrier. :D
however, if i had to choose between the ergo or sling i would go for the ergo 'cus it distributes the weight better so it's not all one one side of your body.
of course it's really your personal preference so you should definitely try it out if you find a store that carries it. carry your little one for 5-10 minutes and see how you feel.

Re: Moby wrap versus Ergo
They are totally different.
The Moby is a "wrap"....long, lots of material, tons of positions and takes practice to get used to wrapping. It hugs the body tight.
The Ergo is more of a carrier....backpack style. More of a Bjorn style...if that makes sense.
I would honestly try them both out before making your decision.

Re: Moby wrap versus Ergo
I have the moby and really like it because there are lots of different holds you can do. I looked at the Ergo, and I might be wrong, but I think you can't have the baby facing out? I think the website said that some babies are frightened when carried that way? That is not the case for my DS. He likes to face out so he can see where we are going I guess I carried DS through the Aquarium in the Moby, facing out, and it was wonderful. He could see everything and it didn't hurt my back or arms at all.
The only down side is what a PP said - it is LONG and you need to practice to get it right.
