Moles
I was just in the backyard picking up my puppy's poop (lovely, I know) and I noticed some tracks. I think we have a mole!!! How d o you get rid of a mole?

moles destroy your property from the ground up. They dig underground trails that tear the soil and create soft spots all over the yard.
I don't want to kill it! I just want it to leave my yard. I wonder if there is a way to catch it and bring it somewhere else.

Moles eat grubs and worms that are in the soil. There are only two ways to get rid of them. Apply grub control to the lawn to get rid of their food supply or kill them. You can drown them, use a "gopher gasser" or take the approach my neighbor did once. He followed the tunnel as the mole was digging and then killed it with a pitchfork. You can't trap them, but, you need to get rid of them as soon as possible or they will destroy your lawn.
Hey, maybe Yogi will do what Reba used to. She would position herself in front of the tunnel and then at just the right time, she would dig down and flip the offending mole out onto the lawn, breaking its neck. She got two of them that way.
