Mom abandons newborn girl in W. Babylon

It's so sad that with all the safe havens this still happens. This happen literally right behind my house. The sad part is at the other end of our block is East Farmingdale FD. Why couldn't she walk the baby there and leave it?
I'm glad its ok though.

I don't UNDERSTAND why this still happens...there are SO many places that fall under the safe haven law

I just read this and really, what are people thinking? Why wouldnt she just have gone to the hospital, even for her own health. W TF???? I just dont get people sometimes.

Did I hear correctly that they found the mother? a 22 year old? I was part listening to the radio and talking.

If she wanted to remain anonymous, she should've brought the baby to a Safe Haven location. Then, it wouldn't be all over the news.
I pray every night for helpless children and I thank God this one will have a happy ending.

There are so many places she could have brought this poor baby to.
So many people out there trying to have children...
