Mom died suddenly a few weeks ago unexpectedly

My mother suddenly died a few weeks ago unexpectedly. We were very close and loved each other very much. There is no one in the world who I love more than my mom. I feel completely destroyed. I can't even describe how horrible I feel. She was only 67 and my grandmother ( mom's mother ) just died a few months ago at 98. I feel absolutely terrible. Not in my worst nightmare did I ever imagine something this horrible could happen. I still feel shocked and feel worse now than I did the first few days after I found out she died. I'm only 30 and was not prepared at all for her to just pass away unexpectedly. It is going to be unbelievably hard to live life without my mom. I loved her more than anything in the world and she loved me just as much. She was a wonderful person who lived her life doing things for other people instead of herself. She always put others before herself. My life is shattered now that she's gone. I cry about it all the time. I just pray to God that the pain will ease over time but I will never get over this.

I'm so so sorry. I lost my mom suddenly when I was 29 and my dad suddenly when I was 32. Please FM me if you need to talk, ask questions, vent, anything.

Thank you for your understanding and being so considerate. I was living in Florida when I found out in the morning from a call from my father that my mother died in the middle of the night. I was absolutely shocked and crushed. I said to myself I wish that I died instead of my mom. My mother did everything for me for my entire life. Not once did she ever stop loving for me and helping me in any way she could. She had hip surgery in early June and suddenly died a month later in early July. I feel destroyed and lost.

So when I flew back to Florida to ship my belongings back home, I drove 20 straight hours back to Long Island for my mom. She always said I was a good driver so I drove the entire way non-stop for 20 hours for my mom. That's how much power she gave me throughout my life. She made me very very strong. But for her to die unexpectedly just kills me. I cry about it every single day. She was the kindest person on this earth who constantly helped other people and never thought about her own needs before others. When I arrived back at my house in Long Island from Florida after 20 hours of driving, I cried my brains out when I walked in the door knowing my mom wasn't there. I felt her spirit with me the entire drive. It was a very sad drive but I said I am dedicating this non-stop drive to my mother who I love more than anything in the world. But for my grandparents to live into their 90's and my mother dying a few months after her own mother just destroys me inside.
This horrfic tragedy will be with me for the rest of my life. There are so many good things my mother did for other people that it's impossible to remember them all. And everybody who calls the house finding out that she died gets very upset and cries. But the amount of love she had for me was amazing. We talked on the phone every single day, usually at least 2 times a day, sometimes more. And to suddenly find out one morning she unexpectedly died in the middle of the night horrifies me.

My Mom was the very best mother and person in the world
She always did things for others more beautiful than a pearl
I miss my mom dearly and love my mom with all my heart
Even though she passed away it will never keep us apart
She always loved doing nice things for people
She always thought everyone was equal
When my mother suddenly died
It felt like a big part of me died
I will always think of my mother as my best friend
She was always there for me to give me a helping hand
I’ll always remember the wonderful and beautiful memories of my mother
She always deeply cared about and loved me, my dad, sister and brother
I would receive a loving phone call every single day
From my loving mother who only had good things to say
She was a lovely person who greeted you with a smile
Always willing to help people and go the extra mile
I know you will rest in peace for all the terrific things you’ve done
In my mind I will only and always think of you as number one

I am so sorry for your loss. I can relate to all of the emotions you are going through. About 5 months ago my Dad passed a way very suddenly and totally out of left field. It was and is the worst time of my life. The phone call will always haunt me.

There are no words right now that can help ease the pain, but just know there are people here to support you.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I can completely understand as I lost my dad suddenly when I was 25...he was 53. It was devastating...we spoke everyday and like your mom he was there for me through everything.

The pain will ease in time....I promise. Please take care of yourself and I wish you peace through your grieving process.

I completely understand what you are going through. I lost my mom 2 1/2 years ago suddenly. I was 4 months preggo at the time too. She was my best friend. It gets easier with time but she will always be watching over you. If you need to talk, just FM me.

I am soo sorry for your loss.

My mom died about 18 months ago and she was 67, too. It was unexpected for my family and we still grieve and suffer her absence. My mom was undergoing a bypass heart surgery and never woke up. THey tried and was able to revive her 3 times, so I know even in the end my mom fought and good fight. The surgery went well....but they could not get the bleeding to stop.
My mom was truly the heart of our family.

So, I can empathize with you and just hang on to her memories and hang on to the fact that she loved you very much.

I am so sorry. My mom died on August 4th. Im about to have what would have been her first grandchild. Im 36 wks pregnant and never imagined this would happen.

My mom passed away in march due to cancer. I know what you are going through. Everyone's experience will be differently. You will never get over this but, in time you will learn to cope and accept this. I will keep you in my prayers.

I agree with you very much. Considering how much my mother did for me and how much we loved each other, I could never see myself getting over her suddenly dying without warning. This is something I will never get over. My life is changed forever now. It will never be the same. And to have no preparation or any type of warning that the was dying just destroys me inside. I wish that I died instead of my mother. She did everything for me for my entire life and I feel that I should have died instead of her. She did not smoke, did not drink alcohol and did not have any fatal diseases. For my mother to just die in the middle night is a horrific nightmare that will never be forgotten. I appreciate your comment about learning to cope with it and accept it. There is nothing else that I can do to bring her back but the amount of strength she gave me was amazing. I was in Florida when I got the phone call and was shocked.
