On the news this morning (on tv and 1010wins) they both said that the mother let the 10 year old boy out of the car before she drove it into the water, not that he escaped. And they said nothing about another woman being in the car either. They said the little boy ran up the street to the fire station as soon as he got out of the car, but by the time they got back to the river, it was too late.
Where was this other woman while this was all going on?

I never understood why Moms killed their kids....why not just kill yourself if you think you have it that bad.
Then she let one kid out the car and kept the 3 others inside to die with her??? Why??? It's so tragic

I saw on the news this morning she posted on her fb:
"Please everyone I'm sorry for what I'm going to do. This is it"

Something to that effect.

It's strange how different news stations have different stories. I heard on 1010wins that the boy did in fact escape from the vehicle, not that the mother let him out. He said that the mother kept yelling "I made a mistake, I made a mistake" and tried to put the car in reverse as it was going in. They also said she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her and that is what set her off. I can't imagine being in that dark of a place to think taking my own life, as well as my kids, would make everything okay. So tragic for everyone involved

Seems like there are conflicting reports. I never heard about another woman in the car. I also didn't hear she let himout. Dh heard she was becoming paranoid and told her sister she thought someone was following her and that someone had ripped pages from her diary. If that's so, she probably had a psychotic break
