Momma....My PeePee is getting Bigger
OMGH
The last 2 mornings my three year old son has come into my bedroom telling me his pee pee hurt.
I asked him what was wrong and he says "Its bigger and it wont stop getting bigger and bigger"
I dont know what to do. My sweet innocent little baby. Moms of boys....what do you do? is there anything i can do?
i told him it was okay and that he should just lay down an relax.
3 years old? i am not ready for these things

I know!!! I told DH when this comes up I will say just relax and you can ask daddy when he gets home

The other day my mom asked how long I was going to use the video monitor in his room. I said, "TRUST ME...not THAT long."
I never even had a brother and only have one male cousin...this is alllll new! Ack!

funny you posted this.....this morning DS woke up and when he came downstairs he kept touching his pants.....i asked if he needed to go to the bathroom and he said no, he was just checking to see if his peepee was still big

OMG Jen! I was just telling some friends the other night that I've had 3 pee-pee questions He always asks ME and never his father...I've told him I don't have that equipment
I always bring it up to DH with Lucas there and try to pay attention to the response because I have to repeat it at the most awkward moments (public restroom at the mall).
For the...my pee-pee hurts when it gets bigger I respond by telling him that when he has to go to the bathroom sometimes it makes a feeling in his body that causes his pee-pee to do that. I remind him that when it gets smaller it won't hurt. I can't tell you how hard it is to say things with a straight face.

I try and let DH handle the winkie questions...
It doesnt always work that way...
DS: "My winkie gets bigger when I make poop...you know that?"
Me: "No Caden thank you for letting me know"
DS: "Mommy my winkie gets big and then the pee pee comes out on its own...why it do that?"
Me: "I think that means you have to go pee pee"
DS: "Oh Ok...next time I go pee before that"
DS: "Mommy my winkie get's big like Daddy's"
Me: "Great....you'll have to show your father when he gets home"
DS: "OUCH" fumbles with pants "Mommy my winkie is big again you want to see it"
Me: "No Caden that's OK Ive seen it before"
And so it goes with little boys and their winkies...

As a mom of 2 boys - yep - hear that all the time. My 6 year old is much more private for the past year or so regarding that stuff but loves bringing his peepee into any conversation he can fit it into but doesn't show the growth as much as he did when he was little. But the 3 year old has taken over and is into saying watch how big it is now type stories such as above.

I deal with this on a daily basis with Rylan. Just 2 days ago he was calling it his volcano in the bath. I'm so used to it now because it happens so often. I usually just say "oh yeah?" everytime he says something...lol.

DS often says his pee pee "hurts" or that it is "up" or that it is "standing up like a castle".
DH tells him that it's OK... pee pees sometimes do that. So that's what I tell him too. He seems to accept that answer... for now...

I am so scared for when this happens!!
I remember by best friend told me her DS, when they were trying to potty train they had him around the house with no pants (some method they were trying)- and she said he was sitting there and all the sudden started shouting "Noooooo!! Too big!!! Too big!!!!" and crying and she was like  what to do?? or say??
So not looking forward to that all.

OH MY GOD..this is the funniest thread.
DS Is 15mo, but im sooo dreading the pee pee questions. I was when he discovered it in the bath at like 9mo or so.
any equipment questions will be sent to DH to deal with..LOL.
