Have you tried putting her to bed earlier? like 7 or 8pm? She's probably fighting it because she's overtired at that point.

Re: mommies of 12-15 months olds - nap and sleep schedule
Brandon is 15 months old.
Wake up around 6:30 - 7AM
Naps at 11AM - 2:30PM (sometimes he will sleep a little longer)
Goes to bed by 9PM, sometimes 30 minutes earlier depending on his nap.

Re: mommies of 12-15 months olds - nap and sleep schedule
Lately he's not having it with 2 naps a day - my life is over.
Anyway - he wakes up anywhere from 7-8AM
He'll ususally go down again around 11 and most times sleep until 130/2.
If he wakes up earlier, he'll go down around 1030 and I MIGHT be able to get an afternoon nap out of him around 230/3.
He goes to bed at 730/8 every night.

Re: mommies of 12-15 months olds - nap and sleep schedule
wow.
okay for the past two days (we just switched to one nap) this has been DS's schedule:
wake up 8:30-8:45 (he used to wake up between 7 and 7:30am)
nap from 12-3
bedtime at 7-7:30pm.
not to look a gift horse in the mouth... but is he sleeping too much?
ETA: he's not tired or fussy during the day when he wakes up. it was definitely time to move to one nap. he was taking forever to fall alseep for naps and at night b/c he wasn't tired enough.

Nope. I don't think so. From everything i read, they're supposed to get 10-12 hours of sleep at night and 2-3 hours of napping a day for their age.

Re: mommies of 12-15 months olds - nap and sleep schedule
DD is 15 months (tomorrow!!)
When we're home, schedule is this:
wake up 7:30/8:00am
nap time 10:00-11:45
Then another nap at 2/2:30p till about 4:30/5pm.
My kid loves to sleep
When we're not home, she'll usually fall asleep in the car/stroller.

I just know that whenever we have a later night than normal, it throws ds off and he fights bedtime even more because he's overtired. So definitely try the earlier bedtime.

Re: mommies of 12-15 months olds - nap and sleep schedule
This thread makes me want to DD is only getting 1 1/2 hours of sleep during the day and 11 1/2 at night (which I know is good at night), it is during the day that is
I posted about this earlier. I don't think 1 nap will help b/c she goes right to sleep at 9 and 12 when they put her down (babysitter, my parents, etc.), she literally passes out cold within seconds...but she sleeps 50 min. each time at most
I don't know what to do

if you were to try to put her down again 2 1/2 hours after she wakes up from her 1st nap - would she sleep?

Re: mommies of 12-15 months olds - nap and sleep schedule
Seamus is up at 630 during the week ( we have to leave and be at daycare by 7) WEd is my day off and he will sleep until 730/8 (same for weekends)
I still get 2 naps out of him at 14 months
He will go down about 930 or so until 1030 or 11
Then he will go down again about 230-3. He will sleep for another hour and a half.
He goes to bed around 730 every night

Re: mommies of 12-15 months olds - nap and sleep schedule
Ds wakes anywhere from 530 am to 715 am.... he naps at around 12-1230 and sleeps hopefully until 2pm.... he then goes to bed at 645pm
ds gave up his second nap last week and as a result he literally falls asleep on the high chair during dinner.... i am hoping it is a phase
he will be one next week
