Mommies of 2+ year olds....

Did DC turning 2 hit you harder than when they turned 1?

Last year, I remember being so thrilled that DS was turning 1 and things were so exciting. And they still are, I just feel like I don't have a baby anymore (bc I don'tChat Icon )

I don't know, this week has been an emotional rollercoaster, I love this age, but I do miss my little baby tooChat Icon

No, I wasn't sad or upset as such as my kid gets older, I am excited each year to experience different things.

We can't stop them from getting older, who why waste energy being upset about it? Be excited about the new things that are to come!!!

I was actually more shocked about her turning 1...but that doesn't mean I won't cry at her 2nd birthday party too Chat Icon Chat Icon

2 wasn't as bad as 3...they are just so darn big and ALL of the baby was gone.
I cried a little.

I have to say I am really loving this age and REALLY looking forward to 2. He is just now starting to really be able to communicate with me and I am so excited to see what's to come!

I am excited, but it is very likely that he will be my only child, so now that he isn't a "baby" anymore...its weird to me.

ITA -- I am excited to see the person DD becomes, to talk with her and all.

But knowing she is my one and only....breaks my heart to have no more baby....Chat Icon

2 is definitely different than 1 was....it's very real that all the firsts are behind us...exciting to see the person he is becoming...but definitely bittersweet.
