Mommies of DCs that have trouble sleeping anywhere besides their crib....
So, Riley is 8.5 months and I still haven't had her sleep over anywhere but in her own room.
I'm debating whether or not to break her in this weekend for an overnight stay at my mom's house. I'd put her in a PNP but....not sure how that will go over. I tried it once months ago...and she took a short catnap in it. She could, I suppose, sleep in bed with me but that probably won't go over too well either (it'll be worse for me than her, probably).
Any tips, advice? I want it to be enjoyable for BOTH of us....and I know if she has trouble sleeping I will totally regret it. TIA!

Tara , as you know Samantha is also a crib only baby.
I've tried to nap her in the PNP when are at my sisters or my fathers, and it doesn't work... she screams and carries on like it's the end of the world.
HOWEVER... when it comes to bedtime, she has surprised us. We don't stay at my father's very often (only once or twice), but she was fine sleeping at night in the PNP. At my IL's it's not an issue since they have a crib there.
I say try it.... she really might just surprise you!

Thanks Mich, you're probably right. I just hate the fact that I'll probably be stressing over it and not enjoying myself all day, expecting that the night ahead is gonna be a nightmare.

Sounds like DD. I think she has fallen asleep once in a car. Sleeps nowhere but her crib. We did go away not too long ago for a night and I stressed myself out over it. She wound up sleeping wayyyy better then me- a full nights uninterruped sleep and I got all worked up over it. Go, have fun, you may be surprised!
