Mommy and me classes in or near Wantagh?
Just curious... I'm looking into Gymboree but they seem a little expensive. I have a 13 month old and I just want her to be a little more socialized.
any recommendations?
thanks

I take mommy and me with my son at http://www.midshoremotherscenter.org/ in Wantagh. Classes start this week. It is part open play, snack and read book and then make a craft. It is cute and my son enjoys it a lot.

They just opened a place called thinkertots on Wantagh Ave. I don't know anything about it, but it looks really small.
Also www.lockmusic.com in Massapequa and Bellmore - they are starting next week and you can go to watch a class before you decide to join or not. (this is what I am going to do)
Mommy & Me yoga classes - at the place next to Wantagh Pkwy on Merrick. Also through SOuth Nassau C. Hospital, in Baldwin, starting next week.
L-town Library starts Mommy & Me first week of October. I am sure Wantagh has something similar.
We go to Gymboree in Hicksville on Weds.

I was going to look into here for the spring b/c my son will be old enough that I can have them both in the same class.
You should also look into the Wantagh library, which is free if you live in the district. We used to do Mommy & Me there until I got pregnant with Andy and had such bad morning sickness I couldn't handle leaving the house much. DH & I went to high school with Miss Michele, the children's librarian there. She is so nice, does a fun program.

thanks.. http://www.midshoremotherscenter.org/ looks really nice. I'm going to call them for more information.
This is a really reasonable price too.

I want to say 6 months? I'm sure if you call they can tell you when the next date to sign up is.

I have been talking to the women at midshore Mothers group too, they are ALL so sweet and nice.
They start at age 6 months up and really seem to care about providing a good envirnoment for the kids.
