Moms and Exercise Q.
Do you exercise?
What type of exercise?
When?
How often?
I have not exercised in months and can really feel it. Just looking for some motivation, inspiration, a swift kick in the butt....
So tell me your workout stories.

I just bought a recumbent bike for the house. I can't go anywhere because it is too hard. DH is Boxing now so this works out great. I put Andrew in the play area and I ride the bike
I have been doing it in the morning before work.

I haven't exercised in a while but last summer I got a jogging stroller and used to jog most mornings when DD wouldn't nap in her crib, it was great. But then the cold weather came and that was that!

I have been walking about 3 miles every morning for this past week.
I get up and I am out of the house at 7:00 (my DD is a late sleeper - so it works at this time for us)
I get home usually about 7:45-7:50

Since March, I've been doing cardio kickboxing. I try and go 3-4 times a week. I love it. It keeps me motivated and it's a great stress reliever!

I have an eliptical so I try to get on that 4 to 5 days for 30 minutes. Two days out of the week I do it first thing in the morning (I work from home those days), then I try for two more week nights and a weekend day if we don't get outside to do something those days.
I'm tryin to work in 15 to 20 mintues 2 nights of hand weights and other exercises!
I'm off to do my half hour now!!

After I had Jared, I had a personal trainer for a month or two. Then I went to the gym on my own. Now I have a treadmil and a weight set in my basement and I walk/run on the treadmil at night and do light weights.

I walk 3-5 miles a day with stroller. We take a morning walk and an evening walk.
When DH wakes up, I run to gym and alternate arms one day and legs another. I do crunches everyday.

I just joined a new gym that has Spinning. I want to try that . I heard Spin really helps get the pounds off.
I do walk as well. I need to lose 10 pounds though

Yes but I didn't for a year. I try to go to the YMCA 3 times a week for 60-90 minutes. I really want to up it to 4 times a week. I usually do the elliptical, bike or treadmill and weights. I want to get back into spinning classes.

there's a gym in our building so I run on the treadmill there 4-5 days a week - trying to get back to where I was pre baby distance wise - but right now I'm running/walking 3 miles. I do crunches every day and try and do arm workouts a few times a week after running.
Am going to attend the ab class at the gym on saturday mornings once I'm sure I wont pass out while I do it!

Wow...way to go moms I think I have the motivation I need....I think I will schedule it in like I used to before DD arrived and try to stick to it....so hard but I used to work out at least 5 days a week until I was about 8months pregnant..now I just dont seem to have the time...I guess I will just have to find it.

I recently started doing some morning Yoga again! Before having DD I would get up every morning and do about 20 minutes... I would like to get back to that. I use to go walking a lot and am trying to get back to that as well...

I just went back to the gym this week. Started off with 40 min of cardio and about 100-150 abs exercises.I'm trying to go at least 4 days a week. I'm so sore but it feels good!!

When Ryan sleeps thru the night (not much lately) I wake up at 5 and work out before work. I have been too tired the past 2-3 weeks though. I do light weights/cardio following a video (that is all I am capable of at that hour)
It has really helped me feel better about myself in many ways.

I have an elliptical and a treadmill that I go on at night after Jake is in bed, dinner is done, and kitchen cleaned... I usually don't get on until about 10pm. It's hard finding time.
