Moms familiar with food allergies
I'm having a kids party for Jack's birthday and there are about 5 kids coming, two of which have allergies. Both of those two have peanut allergies and one has milk also. Is there any kind of cake I can make that they will be able to eat?

I'd check with the moms first. They may be more comfortable giving you a safe treat of their own to be served to the kids.
Here are some allergy friendly recipes (I haven't tried either but they are from an allergy website)
Wacky cake 1 1/2 cup flour (see below for gf options) 3 Tbsp cocoa powder (optional) 1 cup sugar 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 Tbsp vinegar 5 Tbsp oil 1 tsp vanilla 1 cup water
Preheat oven to 350F.
Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
Mix wet ingredients in a separate bowl and stir to combine.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until you get a smooth batter. Do not beat.
Pour into greased and floured pan (8" square or 9" round) or 12 cupcakes. Bake in oven until tests done - about 35 minutes for cake, about 20 minutes for cupcakes.
Notes: Wacky Cake is a classic recipe from the depression era because of the rationing of butter and eggs. The original recipe mixed it right in the pan. You mix the dry ingredients, make 3 holes and pour the wet ingredients in. You can not screw this up. The baker even accidentally left out the oil one time and they were still OK - a bit dense, but OK. The vinegar cannot be omitted, unless another acid ingredient (see below orange or lemon alternative flavors) is substituted, since the acid is crucial to making this rise.
To make a vanilla wacky cake: omit cocoa. Double amount of vanilla.
White Cake 2 cups sugar 3 cups flour 2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 3/4 cup vegetable oil 2 tsp vanilla extract 2 Tbsp white distilled vinegar 2 cups water Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Using 100% vegetable shortening, grease and then flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
Sift dry ingredients together into large mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients; beat with electric mixer at medium speed until smooth.
Pour batter into prepared cake pans. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean. Let cool in pans 10 minutes before turning out onto wire racks to cool completely. Frost.
You can also try Divvies Cupcakes. They aren't cheap but they are allergy friendly. (peanut free, tree nut free, egg free & dairy free)

I agree, ask first. It's really sweet of you to think of them, but I'm a bit neurotic and prefer to provide my own b/c I know for sure it's safe, and god forbid something happened I wouldn't want you to feel guilty.

Re: Moms familiar with food allergies
It is great that you are thinking about treats for the kids with food allergies.
As a FA mom I would be more comfortable bringing my own treat if we were going to a special party but just the thought that another mom would go out of her way to try to make something for my child would mean so much to me!
I bet the moms of the kids going to your child's party will be really appreciative of your efforts to help make their kids time at the party safe and fun.

Same here - I always bring a treat for Emma.
It is really nice of you to even tink about it though.
