Moms of 10 - 12 month olds: what words is your DC saying so far?
DS is 10 months old and so far he only says:
Mama
Baba
Hi
Hey
No
He only uses Mama and Hey in context. The others he's like a broken record...just repeating them over and over and over for the heck of it

At that point DD was saying Hi, three, bye, hot, baby, dada, baba, up, nice, wow, thank you.
PS.. I looked it up haha.. I didnt just remember it of the top of my head.
And that was closer to a year.

DS is almost a year and will say hi, mama, dada, baba, and yay. There are a few others lately that we have been trying to figure out.

Right now it's mostly babble. He will say dada and Hannah (my DD's name) but that's pretty much it.

That's about it for recognizable real words--others are mama, baba (still no dada!), something that sounds like baby...

Riley is a babbler too! And she has not stopped....she babbles incessantly. I thought for sure she'd be an early talker. It's driving me NUTS I want this kid to talk!!
What am I, a soccer mom in training or something?
I thought she said hi at least 2, 3 times but she does nothing on command. I am dying for her to say something already!! It's all mumumumum dadadadada and tons of cute sounds.

He's not behind. All babies develop at a different pace. My pediatrician wants to see 5 words by 18 months.
By 12 months, the only words DS said in the right context were mama and uh oh.

DD just turned a year old yesterday and all she says is Mama, Dada, and Baba.
She says other "things" but we haven't been able to make sense of them yet. lol
