Moms of 10-12 mos olds
What do you make for lunch and dinner? Looking for ideas. Do you give your kids coldcuts? Seems weird making Ellie hot food when I'm eating a sandwich. We've got plenty of choices for breakfast, but lunch feels redundant. TIA!

Re: Moms of 10-12 mos olds
I give Marron turkey, ham, cold chicken cutlet, cheese, yogurt, and try veggies for lunch. For the turkey and ham, I just asked the deli to cut it real thick and then I just cube it. For the cheese, I bought these little cheese snackers that comes as a kind of thick slice and then I cube that. I too feel like I never know what to make her. She can't really eat grilled cheese yet, I'm not crazy about giving her hot dogs. They also make those Gerber Graduates meals that come in a little cup that you can microwave. They have carrot & chicken ravioli, and pasta shells with cheese. I have them but haven't given them to her yet.
But to answer your original question, yes I do give her cold cuts.

I would give cold cuts with broke up pita bread, chicken nuggets, meatballs, pasta, gerber meals, I'm about to try grilled cheese (vegan of course!) cut up in small pieces, pieces of fruit, yogurt, I buy the short cut chicken and cut that up, boca makes ground meat crumbles that are small. I usually try to do veggies with lunch.

I give cold cuts with some Ritz crackers. I just slice and shred the meat. She also loves mac and cheese, jelly on toast, pasta and parmesan cheese, chicken nuggets, cubed grilled cheese, etc. Basically she will anything we eat, just cut up small.

Re: Moms of 10-12 mos olds
We give Ava low sodium turkey breast on bread with soy cheese for lunch. We also give her pasta for lunch or cinnamon raisin toast. For dinner, I make homemade chicken nuggets. I cut a chicken breast into small pieces, dip in italian dressing, bread with crushed whole wheat crackers and bake them, I also make sweet potato french fries. I cut up a sweet potato, sprinkle with cinnamon and a little brown sugar and bake them into "fries". I make her homemade potato pancakes, I make turkey meatloaf, turkey meatballs, chicken franchaise. You name it, I give it to Ava for dinner. I make all of her food from scratch to avoid fried foods or anything with milk products.
