Moms of 14-15 month olds - what is DC doing now?

I thought it would be fun to share the silly things our babies are doing!Chat Icon

Cailen is obsessed with cars and. He always is carrying around a matchbox car in each hand, and wants to take them into the bath with him!!! (I watch him with them - paranoid about the small pieces) he pushes them on the floor back and forth, saying "vrooom vroom!!Chat Icon "

He says uh oh when he drops anything, I drop anything, if he sees garbage on the floor or outside on the ground! Chat Icon He also says it if he sees something scary on TV, or if he falls and his hands are dirty!

He picked up a puzzle piece that has a picture of a brush on it the other day and started "brushing" his hair with it!!!Chat Icon

He is insane about balls. He saw a 3 year old boy kicking a ball the other day, and now in the park when he plays with his ball, he puts it on the ground and kicks it!!! He is sooo good at it - he never trips!!! Chat Icon

He loves animals... Just like his mommy.Chat Icon He feeds the sheep at the farm - they are his favorite. He will walk right up to them and hand them a carrot or try to hold the grain so they eat out of his hand!!! The other day, I heard him go "mwah" and realized - not too happily - that he kissed the sheep on the face Chat Icon I have to admit it was a very unique emotion of repulsion and adoration at the same time when he did that!!!

He also loves doggies. every doggy is an exciting thing to him. Tonight in the park he saw a puppy playing with sticks. He started collecting sticks on the ground and running across the field to give them to the doggy!

I love this child so much. I never thought I would ever love him more than I did when he was an infant, but everyday is magic with him....Chat Icon

DS is obsessed with feet and his first word was "boooooooook"... I'm hoping that means he'll become a podiatrist and not a creepy foot fetish guy that hangs out at DSWChat Icon

He also loves to "head butt" me... such a boy!
He's really loves walks in his wagon and had his first full out tantrum when he couldn't go out in the heat wave.

He makes me read his truck book and dog book at least 2396784794 times a dayChat Icon

Takes after his Grandpa, my dad, the kid will eat ANYTHING I put in front of him... I am so lucky. He ate a whole banana just for snack and was hungry two hours laterChat Icon Chat Icon Peapod will have to make daily deliveries when he's a teenager.

DD must comb her own hair and brush her own teeth.

What's her's is her's and what's anyone elses is HER'S!! It's her world, we just live here.

She knows the signs for "cracker", "hat", "rain", "sleepy", "milk" and a few more.

She's obsessed with Rachel from "Baby Signing Times", points to the TV, puts her arms out and says, "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH". She'd watch it all day if she could.

DD's comprehension is great but the words are coming slower.

DD finds the smallest pieces of nothing to hand to me... a carpet fiber, padding from the underside of her high chair... she laughed hysterically while feeding me the other day.

She's recently become obsessed with bellybuttons. She has an outie and it sticks out like a button. She's been trying to push it in... awwwww... and now lifts up my shirt, looks at mine, sticks her finger in (it's not pretty...lol) and tries to cover it up...lol.

She loves to "dance". I have to have music on so she can break out into spontaneous "dance" whenever she wantsChat Icon

No WAY - I swear I think your DD has a future husband here!!! He also hands me little pieces of nothing from the floor, and dances like craaaazy!!! I hope you don't mind a foot fetishist though Chat Icon the first thing he does when I take off his shoes is try and say "toesies!!!" and he is always after my feet after a pedicure!!!Chat Icon

Mikayla is SO much fun

She gives me kisses all the time, as a matter of fact, she gives kisses to everyone and everything, including the dog and her stuffed animals

She loves to pick things up off the floor and give them to me

She says "nigh, nigh" when I put her to bed Chat Icon Chat Icon

She gives hugs, but she does not wrap her arms around me, just rests her head on me

She talks like crazy....saying hi at least 100 x a day

She had separation anxiety and clings to me when I try to pass her off to the sitter or my IL's

She is a true gem and such a blessing Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

DD is almost 14 months... she's soo funny...
Whenever she hears music she busts out in a full out head bopping, hips shaking, shoulders moving dance....everyone tells me she's gonna be a dancer lolol...
She loves to read books... but only with her great grandma who lives with us downstairs...DH and I can be sitting right there, but she picks her book up goes to the gate and starts "calling" for her "Nonny" to come and read it to her. Its Hilarious.
She eats like no other... an entire orange, an entire banana, almost a whole piece of pizza (w/out the crust)...
She has to have one thing in each hand...whether its toys or food.. hope this isnt some sort of OCD...LOLOL
She is obsessed with Dora... when I put it on she SHREIKS! She yells "Dora, Dora"...too funny!
I just love her! She's the cutiest most patootiest little pookie everrrrr!Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Moms of 14-15 month olds - what is DC doing now?

Hello everyone Chat Icon

Ds loves books. He has to read liek 6 every night before bed. When he's playing by himself he goes over to the bookshelf and pulls them all off and sits to find the one he wants and flips through it.

DS LOVES his little people bus. I don't know what we'd do without it. He'll just go round n round the house with it all day if we let him. He doesn't walk more than 2-3 steps by himself yet, but he'll run around the house pushing this thing. Even when he's crying, all we have to do is say "Where's your bus?" and he stops to look for it.
External Image

He loves the dog and to lay on his belly. I have a big lab, so when he's laying on his side all stretched out, DS loves to come and crash down on his belly and lay over his breathing mini-mountain and burry his face in the fur.

He loves to go outside. Anything outside immediatly maked him happy. He keeps pointing to the door all day and when you get close to the door he points at the handle, just in case yo don't know how to get him out there.

He gets on word binges and then never says them again. He did Hi for about 2 weeks straight nonstop and then won't say it again. Then it was Uh-oh. This weeks it Bubble.

I thought it would be a good thing to teach him the parts of the face. So he knows eye, nose, mouth, ear and hair. He'll even say eye and nose as he points to them. Perhaps this was a mistake cause all he does now is poke everyone in the eye and stick his finger up their nose as he tells them what they are when they pick him up.
