Moms of 2 year olds
What is your childs favorite toy or activity? Looking for some b-day gift ideas for DS. I asked my in-laws to get him a play house for the yard, but I feel like I don't have any great ideas to give anyone this time. Your help would be greatly apprecited.

Re: Moms of 2 year olds
For my son's second birthday, he got a little t-ball set, a soccer net and ball, lots of cars and trucks, a slip and slide, etc.

Oh, I like the T-Ball set and the soccer ball net. Who makes them?

Re: Moms of 2 year olds
For outdoors, DS can't get enough of the Little Tikes basketball hoop and t-ball set.
For indoors, I have to admit DS is currently liking the little plastic play foods and pots/pans/dishes set I bought him above anything else. Also puzzles, crayons/paints, and books.

Re: Moms of 2 year olds
I thought 2 was a very funny age for fiding toys - many items are either for 1 and up or for 3 and up. But here are a few things he likes:
My DS loves Thomas legos. He has a few sets (they were actually my older sons) and he makes all kinds of tracks and builds the trains. There's more assembling than plain wood ones so he loves that. They're for ages 2+ so the pieces aren't tiny but they're a little more sophisticated than the big megablocks (which he loves too)
He also likes puzzles, we have a few 9 piece cardboard puzzles that I got at Target and a few wood ones.
Coloring with WASHABLE! crayons - the fat ones - keeps him entertained for quite awhile too.
Also maybe some cars and a Little People set would be good too. A bubble mower? Sand toys for the beach or sandbox? My DS has a Barney laptop that he really likes too. Again it was my older son's but i know Toys R Us still has it, I think it's called a Lets Go Laptop and they can put different cards in and identify colors, shapes, etc. It's def geared for a child under 3.

My sister got them at Target, not sure who makes them. Possibly little Tikes.
All the other suggestions are great too, like the chalk, the lawnmower, the AquaDoodle, etc.

My DS is 2.5 and we went to my friends sons b-day party yesterday...He had a t-ball set that my DS couldnt get enough of- I asked her where she got it and she said Target...Its cute because, you can either use it as a regualr t-ball set, or it has a function where it will pop the ball up to you for you to swing at (it also pitches to you also!)...I'm getting it for my DS for his b-day !

Thnaks we will definately be getting this.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I am realizing that maybe the reason I have no ideas is because DS gets spoiled by his grandparents and has almost everything suggested, but thank you all so much I did get some great ideas here.
