Moms of 2+...if your DC gets CPSE services, do you bring them to an agency or do it at home?
Today was DS's first day of OT and speech. It will be 3x's a week from 2-3pm in the afternoon right smack in the middle of Derek's nap Needless to say, TJ did great today and Derek basically whined and screamed the entier time in the waiting room. He started walking but still crawls alot and wanted to get down on the floor and I wouldnt let him...it skeeves me I can't change the time b/c they had nothing else available which is why I was forced to take this time slot. I also have to do the services there for the most part because they need the sensory gym for his OT.
I thought I was going to lose my mind today with Derek. I am hoping once he is 100% walking around it will be easier b/c he will just play with the toys in the waiting room, but honestly that skeeves me too I am a germphobe.

While it's still nice out, can you drop TJ off and then take Derek for a walk?

You're not allowed to leave. That's what I thought...I could drop him off for the hour and walk around the mall across the street.

He gets easily distracted at home. I figured between 2 dogs and Derek it would be crazier at home. I'll see how this goes over the next few weeks. If it is too hectic I'll switch to home services.

we get it at home... granted he only gets 3x 30 of speech but with DD there would be no way i would be going somewhere, esp if it conflicted with naps/dinner.

Then ask to change the time as soon as a spot becomes available. And I don't see why you have to wait there. Ask if you can go outside and leave your cell #.

DS gets speech once a week at home. He is getting evaluated for OT for sensory issues though, if he's approved for that it will take place elsewhere so they can control his sensory stimulation.
