Moms of 7-10 month olds: If you don't do yogurt for lunch...

Do you just give veggies or fruit?

DS doesn't seem to like yogurt and I find it pointless to buy since if he only takes a little I end up throwing out 3-4 yogurts and the YoBaby arent cheap.

Should I start giving baby food? I wasn't in a rush to incorporate lunch but he's 8 months on thursday - should I be giving him something now?

The dr told us to give ds one stage 2 vegetable and one stage 2 fruit for lunch if we didnt want to give him yogurt. We started that at 6 months.

I am/was doing a stage 2 dinner and a vegetable for lunch. Then for dinner, he has a veggie and a fruit. (we are working on more table food now)

I like giving him the heavier meal at lunchtime. I feel like a can get a decent afternoon nap when he eats protein at lunch. Also, there is a shorter time period between dinner and his bottle before bed and I was always afraid he'd eat too much at dinner and not finish the bottle.

Kaydyn had a reaction to yogurt so we give her 1/2 container stage 2 fruit and 1/2 container stage 2 veggie for lunch.

I do a stage 2 veggie or veggie meat combo, some puffs, cold cuts, maybe cheese.

I give her a yogurt every other day for lunch. The other days I do a veggie and fruit, or a veggie mixed with pastina. DD is going to be 9 months next week. I think I am going to start grilled cheese too. I've also given her mac n' cheese (the organic one in a box) and then just puree it. She loves it!
