Re: Moms of 13mth olds +... re:lunch & dinner

I totally understand. DS is 14 months old. For us it seemed like pasta pickups or meatsticks with fruit EVERY day. Just since this past weekend though he has decided that he really will only eat a hotdog and very little fruit. I wish I could give you more info, but I'm looking for ideas myself...

He did eat toast with jam this morning and a cheese quesadilla last night.

Thanks for posting this.

I feel the same way! DS never wants lunch, so I usually just give him fruit (cut up apples, pears, peaches, now he loves blueberries) and try to get him to eat something else like maybe a yogurt or macaroni and cheese or a hot dog. For dinner he just eats whatever we are eating...but he prefers pizza, chicken nuggets and pasta with meatsauce. I am struggling with food ideas myself...he has gotten so picky!

DS has been a fussy eater over the past few months and now I am so glad to say he's been "exploring" LOL.

He has:
Grilled Cheese
Yogurt
Fruit
Chicken Nuggets
Meatloaf
Pizza
Sweet Potato Fries
Corn
Green Beans
and last night he LOVED Apple Sausage (found in Trader Joes)
Mac & Cheese
Rice
Fish Sticks

Still haven't tried hot dogs. I want to try Pastina again with him.
Our ped. says no Peanut Butter/Peanuts, Shellfish, or Honey until 2 years.

Re: Moms of 13mth olds +... re:lunch & dinner

I try to mix it up but dinner time Tyler can get kind of picky being it's the end of the day and it can be his witching hour.

I'll try to give him a little of whatever we are having but if he doesnt like it I go with the safe foods:

yogurt
fruit
grilled cheese
chicken nuggets/chicken cutlet cut up
macaroni and cheese
veggies
sweet potato fries
apple sausage (nature's promise at Stop and Shop)
LOVES pasta with sauce
mini waffles
jelly sandwich

I haven't tried pizza yet, I'll have to give that a try.
