Moms of babies with Eczema...

What products do you use for cleaning/moisturizing baby and how often do you do everything?

The doctor keeps telling me that it's dry skin but I'm convinced it is Eczema. Especially from what everyone described on a recent post...

I use Aquaphor nights when she's had a bath, Cetaphil all other nights and in the morning or throughout the day if it seems especially dry.

We use one or the other about 2X a day average.

Plus I just got Aveeno soothing body wash tonight -- said it was good for eczema skin.

Also is it related to food? My mom said it means maybe she is allergic to her formula or baby food or something but I don't remember it specifically starting at any point ... just progressively getting worse.

TIA!
Melissa

I took Julia to the doctor for this to and he said it was eczema, and just to put lotion on her after baths and to also use aquaphor (so greasy) so I didn't use that. I just used cetaphil lotion after baths, and it went away. She only has a few dry spots left.

Eurcerin makes a tub of stuff that I think is almost as good as aquaphor, it's white and less greasy (but still a little greasy) we've been using it twice a day, and she is like 75% better. Watch out with that Aveeno baby wash - it says it's tear free, and I used it in Angelas bath two nights ago, all of a sudden she started crying and her eyes were burning red, I felt so bad! I had bought 3 bottles bc they were on sale, I'm going to see if I can bring them back! I am still looking for a non-drying bubble bath but haven't had any luck!

I use the aquaphor, yes its greasier than the Eucerin cream but it does work better. Also I try to only bathe him every other day in the winter because the baths make it worse.

We use the Aveeno or Dove moisurizing bath & shea butter for moisturizer.
