Mom's of twins ... What do I need 2 of?
My DH thinks we can get away with only getting one of each of the big things - swing, exersaucer, etc. He thinks we'll be able to put one baby in one thing and the other in another thing. That may be so, but I said, what if they both like the swing, etc.? What do you have that is necessary to get two of?

Re: Mom's of twins ... What do I need 2 of?
I definitely recommend getting 2 swings and/or bouncy seats. They were lifesavers early on when they don't have much activity. I did have 2 floor mats but different themed ones and same thing w/ exersaucers. At the stage they are now (1year) I feel like I can get away only having one of some items because they have different interests. Early on, I think it's difficult to get away with just one of each type. HTH

Re: Mom's of twins ... What do I need 2 of?
We had 2 swings, bouncy seats & exersaucers and I don't know what I would have done without them.
we had one mat and one jumperoo...my kids loved the jumperoo, so we borrowed a second one from my SIL.
They literally LIVED in the swings and bouncy seats for the first 3 months. The bouncy seats were great when we first started to feed solids too...they were still too small for the highchairs.
The mat was fine until they started rolling over...then I wished we had more than one...

Re: Mom's of twins ... What do I need 2 of?
My kids were the oddballs in that they both hated the swings... I think they are the only kids I know who did
But that being said, if your kids are swing kids, I'd say you need two. DEFINITELY, two bouncy seats.
We have two different exersaucers (one I got from a friend) but only have one out right now. I alternate with one in the jumperoo and one in the exersaucer.
So far my playroom is set up in centers and they can rotate from one thing to the next. DH calls it "Baby Curves"...lol.
Down the road, two high chairs. If space is an issue, you can get the ones that sit on the chair.

The only thing we had two of and needed was the infant to toddler rockers. They lived in those and if fact are still using them and they are turning 2 next month.
We only had one exersaucer and we actually had 2 swings but we really only needed 1 because only one like it and that didn't even last long.
We had 2 jumperoos but again, only really needed 1.

Re: Mom's of twins ... What do I need 2 of?
What everyone else said...also 2 boppy pillows - DDs did a lot of tummy time on there. And 2 mobiles.
You can always get 1 of everything and buy the other item with a gift card or from the twins club (used) after you see how much use they're getting.
Also keep in mind that things will be used at different times. You will be retiring the swing and the bumbo seat right around when the exersaucer and jumperoo begin getting used - or you can retire one of each of those and bring out one of the latter I mentioned.

This is what we had. It worked out fine. when one was tired of the exersaucer, we switched to jumperoo, wnd vise versa.

Re: Mom's of twins ... What do I need 2 of?
Borrow as much as you can. it is crazy to have 2 of everything. & this way you can get rid of it when you are done.
2 papasan swings by fisher price. (i still use them if they are having a hard time falling asleep & they are 10 months)
2 travel swings for other rooms or to bring with you. 2 cribs 2 boppy pillows 2 high chairs
2 bouncers
1 exersaucer 1 playmat 1 jumperaroo
I had bassinets which I also borrowed & used them to nap in separate rooms when they were newborns.
