Moms of two or more different genders - did you carry differently?

With my DS I carried exactly in accordance with the "boy" stereotype - everyone guessed boy and low and behold it was a boy.

This time around I am carrying differently - even though I weighed the same when I got pg this time as I did with DS and have gained the same amount of weight thus far I am wider and just look fatter - so now everyone is saying "oh you are def. having a girl" - i just think its b/c my body after having one is less and shape and has "spread" Chat Icon and not doing ab exercises its all themore visible these days. Just wondering if there is any truth to this old wives tale or if everyone guessing is just insulting me in a roundabout way Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I gained less this time and had a girl. I didn't really carry much different than with the boys. Actually DS#2 was lower than DS#1 so my belly was a little lower. Now, I don't think I carried different with DD BUT everyone guessed girl for some reason. Maybe I did carry different.

I carried differently. With DD I was fuller and the weight went everywhere!! With DS I literally looked like I had a basketball under my shirt, you couldn't tell I was pregnant from behind.

I am. I am carrying much lower than I did with DD and I am pregnant with a DS this round.

Even though I have 2 girls, I'm going to answer. I carried differently the second time. With DD#1 I carried very much like the stereotype for a girl -- I gained everywhere. With DD#2, I was all belly. From the back, you couldn't tell I was PG. I even felt different as far as PG symptoms etc. Everybody was convinced it was a boy. We didn't find out what we were having with #2 so I was shocked when they said girl!

ETA: we didn't even have a girls name picked out -- that's how sure we were it was a boy. Chat Icon

Can I chime in? I had two girls and I carried OPPOSITE almost exactly for my 2nd than i did with my 1st.

my 1st i carried high, all in front, like a basketball, gained 50lbs, and was soooo sick til 11 weeks. People were CONVINCED i was having a boy..nope...3 sonograms proved differently..

my 2nd, I carried so low i couldn't walk or sit from about 28 weeks, gained 40lbs, hardly any sickness, i was nauseuas for 3 days. Since i carried the opposite people were convinced again it was a boy...nope!

I think it's all an old wives tale to predict gender, you have to remember your muscles and skin and even uterus for your 2nd have already done thisChat Icon

I carried completely different for both pregnancies and as you know I have 2 girls. Everyone SWORE I was having a boy with the first - and people even argued with me AFTER I had an amnio. Second time around people all guessed it was a girl.

Re: Moms of two or more different genders - did you carry differently?

I am/was all belly for both pregnancies, horrible acid reflux and morning/day/night sickness.
Chat Icon - carried high but pointy
Chat Icon - 32wks now but carrying very low and rounder

I dont believe in all those old wise tales. My nose/feet didnt widen, my skin is still clear, I had horrible acid reflux and DS was as bald as can be.
